The First Baptist Church of Granger, founded in 1884, was the very first church to be founded in Granger, TX. At its founding, FBC Granger had 27 congregation members and was pastored by S.E. Whipkey. Before purchasing a piece of land with which to build a church building on, the church met in congregation members' homes. The current church building sits on the same piece of land that the church was originally built on, but the building was remodeled in 1953.
